Kela service provider
A skilled rehabilitator of speech sound disorders and language skills. I graduated as a speech therapist from the University of Oulu in 2017. Since graduation, I have worked in the private sector with clients receiving demanding medical rehabilitation funded by Kela, as well as with clients in primary health care. I began working as a subcontractor for Vocalia Oy in 2021. I provide speech therapy services for children, adolescents, and adults. Therapy sessions are conducted in-office, remotely, or through home visits in Oulu, nearby municipalities, and in Kemi. My areas of expertise include the rehabilitation of speech sound disorders and speech motor issues, developmental language disorders and other language-related difficulties, working with bilingual and multilingual families, rehabilitation for situational speech difficulties and reading disorders, and using methods such as PRT (Pivotal Response Training) to support individuals with autism spectrum challenges. I also have experience and training in rehabilitating voice disorders in adults. In voice therapy, I have worked with challenges related to vocal cord paralysis and functional voice disorders. I regularly develop my professional skills through continuing education. In my work, I utilize various augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) methods, such as sign-supported speech, images, and communication aids. I conduct therapy in Finnish, and I am also able to communicate and guide multilingual clients and families in English.
