Hi, I'm Kiia, a psychologist and psychotherapy student (cognitive-integrative orientation, including hypnotherapy). I have worked as a psychologist in both Finland and Australia, and I am happy to work in both Finnish and English. My approach is client-oriented, and I combine different strategies according to the client's needs, especially the principles of cognitive therapy, schema therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). I understand that every person has their own challenges and there is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to mental health. I take on clients for both short and long treatment relationships; sometimes just one time can help untie the knots of the mind, sometimes longer work is needed. I like to work with different kinds of clients, but especially with ADHD and ASD, as well as diversity of gender and sexuality, and health in general. I am happy to help with a variety of challenges that come up in life, including anxiety, depression, big life changes, stress and exhaustion, emotional skills, and difficult relationships. Please note that I do not offer KELA-reimbursed psychotherapy at the moment.
