Anna Korelin

I'm a licenced psychologist and a doctoral researcher in developmental psychology. I provide individual appointments for adults and adolescents, as well as joint family and couple sessions. Appointments can be arranged as single consultations or as part of a longer-term therapeutic process. I specialize in child development and supporting parenting and family relationships. I work with a range of challenges, including tantrums and aggression, persistent conflict, separation anxiety and stuck family situations. In relationship challenges you might experience continuous fighting, communication problems and difficulties to feel heard. A central focus of my work is supporting attachment relationships, and I find it especially rewarding when parents discover new ways to strengthen their relationships with their children or partners. I also have experience working with mood disorders and difficult life situations. I'm familiar with ADHD and the autism spectrum. Over the years, I have gained diverse experience across multiple settings - I have worked in family counselling, schools, mental health and substance abuse clinic, and crisis center. My work with clients is emotionally focused and based on mentalisation. As a psychologist I'm empathic, mindful, and sensitive. My aim is to create a safe and supportive space to explore behavioral and developmental concerns. In addition to Finnish, I speak fluent English and understand Russian fluently.  In addition to clinical work, I am pursuing a PhD in Developmental Psychology at University of Helsinki.
