Puhepiste Oy

Puhepiste Oy provides speech and language therapy services for children, adolescents and adults. Our aim is to provide individualised, goal-oriented therapy that supports the client in their everyday life. Therapy is always planned according to the client’s individual needs and rehabilitation goals. Speech and language therapy can support areas such as speech and language development, interaction, communication, voice, and eating and swallowing skills, depending on the client’s individual needs. Therapy is planned in cooperation with the client and their family or other people close to them. When necessary, we also work together with other professionals involved in the client’s everyday life. We provide speech and language therapy at our clinic, in the client’s everyday environment and remotely. Therapy in the client’s everyday environment may take place, for example, at home, at daycare or at school. Remote speech and language therapy provides a flexible option when distances are long or regular visits to the clinic are difficult. Puhepiste is a service provider for demanding medical rehabilitation funded by Kela, the Social Insurance Institution of Finland. We also provide services for clients referred by wellbeing services counties and other funding organisations. Clients may also access our services on a self-paying basis. It is important to us that clients and their families understand the goals of therapy and how the skills practised during therapy can be applied in everyday life. The aim of speech and language therapy is not only to develop skills during therapy sessions, but also to help clients use these skills in their daily lives. We strive to make rehabilitation practical, understandable and suited to each client’s individual circumstances.
